Hijiri-no-Sato, the first elderly health care facility in Tama City, opened in the spring of 1999 adjacent to Hijirigaoka Hospital. The objective of this facility is to enable senior citizens requiring intermediary care, medical care and rehabilitation to return home while supporting their physical and mental independence. The facility is designed to provide in-house care for 100 patients and outpatient care for 40 patients. The facility, comprising one floor below ground and four floors above ground, hopes to have the opportunity to play a central role in the health and welfare of senior citizens in the Tama district by providing health care services sensitive to and in alignment with the needs of the elderly.

We empower senior citizens to become independent and fully use their abilities. We help senior citizens continue a daily rythm in life and prevent them from becoming bedridden. We serve in unity with our patients' families and the community.
