The Hijirigaoka Hospital was certified in June 1996, becoming the
fourth relief care facility in Tokyo. The facility has 11 beds.
Teams consisting of specialists and nurses provide care respecting
the wishes as well as the needs of each patient by controlling pain
and relieving various other symptoms in order to implement the ideal
form of relief care. Various steps have been taken to ensure that
patients get the most out of their time in the hospital. These include
holding classical music concerts that are participated in by members
of the local community, as well as various other seasonal events.
In addition, the facility is equipped with a lounge provided with
large sofas and a fireplace to allow patients to enjoy chats with
family and friends. The beds, chests, desks and other personal effects
furnished by the hospital are made of oak for a feeling of familiarity
and warmth. These personal touches, combined with an interior using
soft tones to create a relaxing atmosphere, enable patients to spend
their time pleasantly and in comfort. This facility places significant
effort in ensuring that both patients and their families are able
to spend peaceful and relaxing time together while ensuring that
patients get the best life quality out of each and every day.
